Training data — Compare Data Brokers
ANSWER IN BRIEF
Training data is material used in a model's learning process. Company records are potential inputs, but their suitability depends on the target task, preparation, quality and rights associated with the proposed use.
Start with the intended task
Describe what a model should learn from the records. A collection of support conversations might contain examples of problem descriptions and resolutions; a process archive might show how work was completed. The buyer still needs to establish whether those examples fit its task.
Keep training, evaluation and retrieval uses distinct. Data used to assess a model or supplied as reference context serves a different role from examples used to update the model during training.
A company data example
A resolved ticket may be useful only if it includes enough context to understand the decision. Missing attachments, changing categories or an undocumented workflow can limit interpretation. Preparing the records may require field definitions, filters and review before any buyer can assess fit.
Avoid converting every internal archive into a training-data claim. Describe the actual records and let a scoped sample establish their possible usefulness.
Describe the limits
Document coverage, known gaps, preparation and intended uses. Keep permission questions separate from technical usefulness: a useful record still needs an appropriate basis for the proposed sharing and use.
